If you decided to get a room in the tourist zone, your night of drinking and dancing in Ensenada should be a good one. The streets in the tourist zone are well lit and there are plenty of police on duty. Though we would still recommend against unescorted females walking around after dark. If you have chosen the more adventurous option of one of the cheaper hotels a few blocks behind the tourist zone, don't worry about the transvestite hookers looking for business on the back streets, not dangerous - unless you have your beer goggle on as some can look like very attractive women. If your hotel is only a few blocks away, and you have even the slightest doubt about the safety of your drunken walk home - TAKE A TAXI!!!
